About

Welcome

When Ginger isn’t writing, exploring her mystifying world of chance encounters— her natural life-long ability interacting with animals, communing with nature—she’s probably in her lavender garden talking with bees—or sitting on the front porch chatting with crows, or hiking glorious sandy trails on tall bluffs above bluest Lake Michigan with her Corgis.

Ginger Langdon grew up in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. Spending summers in Northern Michigan at her grandfather’s cottage on the Old Mission Peninsula.

Retiring from the challenging world of corporate security—fulfilling her life-long dream—she moves to Northern Michigan.

Her serendipitous life journey continues when she unexpectedly buys a charming house in Empire—a tiny beach village nestled on the east shore of Lake Michigan, in southern Leelanau County.

Ginger’s touch with words and down-to-earth writing style reflects the balance she seeks in everyday life among her strong foundation of gardening, nature, animals and human friends.

She finds there is nothing ordinary about Empire.

In her first book, Empire After Dark—she suggests, “Find the magical in the ordinary.”
